Channel M Television
Between
August 2008 and March 2010 I worked at Channel
M Television in Manchester as a news reporter, producer and
presenter. After a lengthy spell presenting the news bulletins
during the live three hour breakfast show and fronting the main
lunchtime news programme I then moved to working as a
reporter producing news stories and features for the daily current
affairs and magazine show Channel M Today.
Channel M is a local TV station dedicated to Greater Manchester. Although it has now effectively been mothballed, producing no new original programming, you can still watch its schedule of repeated local content, networked international news and traffic cameras in Greater Manchester on Freeview Channel 200.
Look out for repeats of a short series of programmes I presented entitled 'James On The Job' where I went behind the scenes with several people around the region to try my hand at their jobs. These included the gardener at a stately home, a chef in a restaurant and the captain of a tourist ship.
